THURSDAY NIGHT ROCK BLOCK
sorry i was so late with tonight's rock block
you know those days where you feel like you can't get nothing right?
and as if to add insult to injury i can't even find the good version of that last video that i always used to see on the wedge (the one where they play rock paper scissors for who gets to play drums right at the beginning)
well at least i got to be a snake charmer with a basketful of cobras

CPUWAR - I AM THE POISON (D-TRASH 1999)
intense teenage trackerpunk angst from british columbia. insane glitchchop drums, feedback squeals and FUCK YOUs all over the place. i could be totally in the wrong here but i'm pretty sure this is the last cpuwar release to feature any input by founding member m61 (a remix of a song by labelmates bastards united). no disrespect meant to j schizoid, but dude's gotta stop signing shitty atr ripoffs and bring the label's sound back to the days when it was two seventeen year olds fucking shit up with computer programs where you gotta use hexidecimal code to make a song and then taking a break to go play some street hockey.

SHIZUO - GIVE UP (DHC LIMITED 1998)
very heavy! it's almost like proto-dubstep. lots of crazy filters and retrigger effects. there will probably never be as exciting and confrontational an act on digital hardcore records ever again, even if alec empire gets a clue and stops trying to be the german trent reznor. seriously guy. all we ever needed you to be was the destroyer.
