B.G. - CHOPPER CITY IN THE GHETTO (CASH MONEY 1999)

this album is new orleans thug money raps from b.g. who was the smoothest of the hot boyz. cash money millionaire mannie fresh delivers some of the flyest beats of his entire career with all sorts of laser gun ricochet sound effects and silly synth wiggles over heavy bounce beats.

like everyone from cash money records has five verses on this album and it's awesome. every so often you hear lil wayne laugh or yell in the background and it's all high pitched and it's funny to think about that guy before he got addicted to codeine cough syrup.

the new year's 2010 shred alert rock n roll party was off the chain and a bunch of people got copies of the volume 5 cd. i was going to sell them but i started to give them away because fuck new year's. i also tried to huff axe body spray.

GUIDED BY VOICES - TONICS AND TWISTED CHASERS (ROCKATHON 1996)

this album is almost completely written and performed by robert pollard and tobin sprout who later went on to form airport 5. surprisingly, this album sounds exactly like the two airport 5 albums released in the early 00's. the catchy fake-british power of pollard's vocal melodies is nothing short of astounding. how he manages to hide secret catchy parts inside of minute-long halfsongs is a mystery best left for expert detectives like sherlock holmes or maybe his great-grand niece shirley.
